ALMA TETTO

Prosperity Study Group

I’m delighted to host an intimate, alchemical study on the nature of prosperity beginning in the new year. This is an active personal inquiry, and I’m inviting seven others to join me in an embodied exploration of what it means to prosper: creatively, individually, collectively, materially, monetarily, biologically, and just generally.

We’ll investigate patterns of scarcity embedded within the Western, capitalistic paradigm that we hold in our body memory (regardless of our economic background), the nature of the creative principle, what the nervous system and chakras have to do with our ability to hold and channel prosperity, the nature of our gifts and how we can relate to them in ways that connect us to our own personal currency.

This inquiry has been a long one for me as a solo parent, artist, scholar, and mentor. Collective shadows around power, authority, wealth, and excess loom large and heavy, and they beg us to do the work of real tending in our personal lives (as within, so without). I don’t claim to have the answers, but I have a potent interest in studying what wisdom the body has to offer in the matter (and in prospering!).

Gatherings will be held weekly on Sundays over eight weeks. We’ll weave in embodied tantric practice (to unlock our abilities to perceive and adjust the energetics at play within us), hermetic teachings, journaling, with spaciousness for improvisation and conversation.

Be advised that if you participate in this study group, you can count on discomfort as we’ll be venturing to meet our edges. You can also count on insight and expansion with regard to prosperity as we’ll be stretching at that edge and planting some potent seeds. We’ll be examining tension and its function. The doors of our perception may swing wide open or they may need to be replaced. We’ll be moving gently and in kind.
